Inside EZ Car Care: How Our Products Are Made

Every EZ Car Care product starts in the same place. Not on a design screen or in a marketing meeting, but with a performance problem that needs solving.

Because we manufacture our own products in the UK, we control how they are formulated, tested, produced, and refined. This is what that process actually looks like.

In short: We design, test, manufacture, and bottle our products in-house so performance stays consistent and improvements happen continuously.

Step 1: Performance First Formulation

Every product begins with a clear purpose. It might be to lift traffic film safely, break down brake dust, cling longer as a pre wash, or clean efficiently at high dilution ratios.

Formulation starts with selecting raw materials that actually do the job. Surfactants, chelants, solvents, and additives are chosen for performance and compatibility, not for how they look on a label.

Step 2: Controlled Lab Testing

Before anything reaches production, it is tested in controlled conditions. This includes:

  • Cleaning performance at realistic dilutions
  • Foam behaviour and dwell time where relevant
  • Rinse characteristics and residue risk
  • pH balance and stability
  • Material compatibility on common automotive surfaces

If a formula does not meet expectations, it goes back to development. There is no pressure to launch something that is not ready.

Step 3: Batch Manufacturing in the UK

Once a formula is approved, it moves into batch production at our UK facility. Raw materials are weighed accurately, added in the correct order, and mixed under controlled conditions to ensure consistency.

Because production is in-house, we can monitor every batch rather than relying on third party reports.

Step 4: Quality Control at Every Stage

Quality control is not a final step. It runs throughout the process.

  • Incoming raw material checks
  • In-process checks during mixing
  • Visual, viscosity, and performance checks post production
  • Consistency checks before bottling

This helps ensure that the product you buy today performs the same as the one you buy months from now.

Step 5: Bottling and Labelling

Once approved, products are bottled and labelled with care. Correct fill levels, secure closures, and clear labelling all matter. It is the final step before a product reaches your garage.

Step 6: Real World Feedback and Improvement

The process does not stop once a product is launched. Because we control manufacturing, we can make informed improvements over time.

Feedback from real users, including professional detailers, feeds back into development. If something can be improved, it is tested and refined rather than ignored.

Why This Approach Matters

Manufacturing our own products means we stand behind every bottle. There is no disconnect between formulation and performance. No supplier to hide behind.

It is a slower, more demanding way to build a brand. But it is the only way to deliver consistent results and keep improving without compromise.

The Result

Products that work as intended. Products you can trust. Products built by people who understand how they are used.

That is what goes into every EZ Car Care bottle.
